IGNOU MCA Syllabus – The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has divided the courses or syllabus of Master of Computer Applications programme into four semesters.
So, the number of courses has also been divided into different semesters. Each IGNOU MCA course has some credit associated with it where one credit is equivalent to 30 study hours of students comprising all the learning activities. Therefore, if any course has three credits then the students need to give it 90 hours for its study.

The credit system helps the student to understand the academic effort he/ she needs to make to successfully complete a course.The students need to pass out 108 credits to complete the master degree.
The completion of the MCA programmes requires successful completion of both assignments and the Term-End examination of each course in the programme.
